The Streetsboro Professional Fire Fighters Local 4281 of the I.A.F.F. (International Association of Fire Fighters) came into existence on June 1, 2003 with the hiring of 7 additional full time fire fighters onto the Streetsboro Fire Department.

Local 4281 is currently comprised of 14 members who are full time Emergency Medical Technicians and Level 2 Fire Fighters.
